1) Killing monsters and selling the drops, mainly to an NPC. I still haven`t chosen the other one) but most people take advantage of them and craft scrolls, potions, and stones they sell on shops in towns alongside with the green drops they get from monsters (These are the ones you`re beter off not giving them to NPCs). However, this method is not essential, as you can stay without monetary problems without doing this .

3) There are special areas where option 1 can be applied to its full extent: The abyss. This PvP area is a place where you can get lots of drops, that actually make you good fiesta gold when you sell them, and there`s also a higher probability of getting equipment drops from the monsters here, to make option 2 effective.

 On a final note, those players you see sporting level 30-40 +9 weapons, or paid them with their higher characters, or enhanced them themselves (If they're sparkcash users, it's not hard at all for them). You mentioned 2G... and weapons on that tier aren`t really worth 2G, be on the lookout for good prices, a bargain is always crawling near
